Elan Lifts was established in 2000 by Michael Fernandez and Tony Fillery, who still run the company along with engineering director, Gary Cremin. With no third-party owners, we remain an independent company. This allows us to specialise in bespoke, cost-effective customer focused design solutions with consideration given to our clients building and aesthetics requirements.
Elan’s senior managers have decades of combined experience encompassing all areas of the lift industry. We use this knowledge to create a supportive work environment, sharing skills and providing career development.
To maintain our high standard, Elan Lifts is committed to providing on-going training and support for all employees. To date, training has included Apprenticeships, NVQs, Engineering Degrees and Masters Degrees, with a strong focus on recruiting new talent to the industry.
Our Bespoke Designs
Our lifts are designed in-house using AutoCAD and SolidWorks 3d generated models, with the client’s input valued throughout the process. The extensive expertise of our design team ensures that Elan can find solutions to complex design requests and gives us a portfolio encompassing the full range of lift installations and modernisations, from single person residential lifts to 10,000kg goods lifts.
We can produce rendered models of the lift car finishes along with sample boards to aid in the choice of materials and colours. Our design service also includes traffic calculations and BREEAM energy calculations. Once designed, our lifts are then manufactured locally in the UK, ensuring quality control and design flexibility.
As well as lift installations we are experienced in designing and installing steel structures along with suitable cladding including glass and steel.
Our Full Quality Assurance conformity allows us to independently design, install and test in compliance with Schedule 18 of the Lifts Regulations.

Elan utilises a dedicated professional team of technical salespeople, engineers and project managers to fulfil each contract from start to finish, ensuring a personalised and professional service. This guarantees that your lift will be installed or modernised by skilled and experienced engineers, supported by a strong Logistics and Management team.
Elan strives to maintain consistent, clear communication with their clients, throughout the installation process, providing regular updates.
All new installations come with a one-year fully comprehensive service contract. All our contracts can provide access to a 24 hour Out-of-Hours Emergency Call Out service. Our service team is always available to support with tailoring our support to your service needs.
